It's a girl!

And no, neither of us saw that coming. Baby's healthy and seemingly happy, albeit a bit shy. She wouldn't turn over and show off her lips, so we have to go back in next month for another ultrasound to make sure all is well in the lip department. Negative 5 months old and already a trouble maker.

I'm sure I'll be back to my normal grumpy and cynical self very quickly. But for now, all is right with the world.

Congratulations!!! Yeah, they seem to have their personalities from day one so, beware. Do you have any ideas for names yet? Exactly when is your wife due? I should find out what our baby is in about three and a half more weeks. (I am very lucky because my doctor uses U/S every appointment and can tell me early. So far he as been right 3/3 around 12 weeks along. Congratulations again! I am so happy for you guys!

The only time the words "it's a girl" would be a surprise is if Andra was saying them.

So are you still gonna stick with those names you listed earlier? It's been a while since I've seen a female Brian roaming around.

BTW, Congrats! Girls are awesome.

Caprica Six is a girls name, so it's not a lost cause.

Back in the day, your first born girl was supposed to be named Wednesday. I expect you to mdke good on that.

I will mourn the loss of Dexter but welcome little Candalabrianna (my vote for her name if you're having any kind of contest or give away).

I'm not sure I'm brave enough for Wednesday, plus there are few women on the planet who would let me use that name. And while I'm not entirely opposed in principle to people labeling me a 'weirdo,' it does make for somewhat awkward conversations, especially in job interviews or at work with people you hope to one day ask for a raise.

YEA! I was hoping you'd get a girl. Hard & fancies, here we come (I'll explain that to you one day.)
